Summer, for some it’s a kick your shoes off, relaxing time. But it can also be filled with stresses that come with changes in schedules, kids home from school, heat (especially if you live in the desert like us!), even vacations that are meant to be fun can become stressful. Continue reading →
With Resurrection Day (Easter) coming up, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much I have to be thankful for, beginning with Jesus’ death and His resurrection. Maybe I’ll talk more about that next week.
I’ve also been thinking about all the reasons I have to be thankful. One of them is the husband God gave me! He blessed me beyond measure, certainly far more than I deserve!
It’s so easy to get focused on what annoys us or things that aren’t just the way we think they should be, but the truth is most of us have much to be thankful for in this area.
So here’s my challenge:
Think of 10 things about your spouse for which you are thankful. List them in the comments section at the bottom of this post or on FaceBook if you connect with me there. If you’re a blogger, write a post and link it on the Mondays @ Soul Survival linkup.
Here are my 10 things:
He loves Jesus!
He loves God’s Word and studies it.
He loves God more than me.
He loves me in a way that makes me want to be a better wife.
He loves our children and grandchildren (We’re a blended family and he has always loved them all).
He works hard and always has.
He appreciates growing old together.
He enjoys just spending time together. We don’t have to be doing anything.
He never complains about the time I spend blogging & writing.
He does dishes & makes my coffee (maybe I should have put this at the top!).
So let me see your list!
I’ll highlight the best ones next week. Family friendly lists only. 🙂
