“What If God Is Using the Unfair Thing You Want Him to Fix?” December 14
Have you ever been misjudged?
Falsely accused?
Passed over by someone in authority?
Treated unfairly by someone who seemed to have all the power?
Those situations can consume our thoughts.
We replay the conversation.
Imagine what we should have said.
Wish someone would finally see the truth.
And sometimes we wonder why God doesn’t step in and make things right.
But what if the question isn’t only:
“Why did God allow this?”
What if it’s also:
“What does God want to do in me through it?”
Could the very situation we want Him to remove be one of the tools He intends to use to expose anger, bitterness, fear, or a demand for control—and make us more like Christ?
Proverbs reminds us that while many seek the favor of those in authority, “justice for man comes from the LORD.”
That truth can change the way we respond when people fail us.
But something in our thinking may have to change first.
And in Amos, God uses one of Scripture’s least flattering descriptions when He calls a group of women “cows of Bashan.”
Why?
And could their attitudes be closer to ours than we’d like to admit?
