“Do You Have to Forget to Truly Forgive?” August 2
Have you ever heard someone say, “If you’ve really forgiven, you’ll forget”?
But is that actually what the Bible teaches?
God says He “remembers our sins no more.” Does that mean He literally forgets them? And if not, what does biblical forgiveness really look like?
If painful memories keep resurfacing, does that mean you haven’t truly forgiven?
Today’s readings answer those questions and offer a practical, biblical process that can help us walk out genuine forgiveness—especially when the hurt runs deep.
We’ll also consider another question many believers ask during difficult seasons:
Where is God when my prayers seem unanswered?
When trials drag on and relief doesn’t come, could God be accomplishing something far greater than we realize?
