The Bible has a great deal to say about money—not just how we earn and spend it, but what our attitude toward it reveals about our hearts.

In Ecclesiastes, Solomon had wealth and possessions beyond what most of us could imagine. Yet, he understood something we can easily forget: money without peace, contentment, and someone to share it with can leave us surprisingly empty.

So, how much is enough? What good is financial success if we’re constantly working, worrying, striving for more, or too busy to enjoy the people God has placed in our lives? And could our pursuit of “just a little more” actually rob us of some of God’s greatest blessings?

Solomon also warns us not to take God’s provision for granted. Wealth can disappear, and if we live selfishly or as if there is no tomorrow, we may discover that all our striving was ultimately for someone else to enjoy.

So, are we using money as a gift from God—or expecting it to give us something it never can?

Also today, we’ll look at the importance of wise friends and counselors, the unchanging nature of God and His Word, and what the Apostle Paul teaches us about being willing to lay down our rights and even our lives for the cause of Christ.
